Serhiy Tokarev, an IT entrepreneur and co-founder of the investment group Roosh and SET University, recently announced the launch of WE.Brave, a groundbreaking two-week online bootcamp for women-led startups. This initiative, supported by the USAID Competitive Economy Program in Ukraine, aims to address the challenges faced by female leaders in the country, breaking the metaphorical ‘glass ceiling’ hindering career progression and entrepreneurial pursuits.
On Facebook, Serhiy Tokarev emphasized the importance of fostering a supportive environment for female entrepreneurs. He highlighted the stark contrast in the percentage of women on FTSE 350 boards in the UK, underlining the need for similar advancements in Ukraine. The WE.Brave Bootcamp seeks to empower women by providing intensive workshops, mentorship sessions, and access to an international network, all geared towards developing competitive IT products on a global scale.
“Imagine two weeks of totally free, jam-packed training filled with cool lectures and mentoring sessions to supercharge their product development. Plus, the top three projects get an extra budget for some top-notch consulting and mentoring to take their business even further,” commented SET University President Iryna Volnytska.
The main goal of WE.Brave is clear: to focus on startups led by women or those with a significant female presence in their core team. This initiative will not only help these startups thrive in the global market but also contribute to the growth of the Ukrainian economy during challenging times. Serhiy Tokarev believes that supporting women in business is vital for creating new job opportunities and boosting tax payments.
The WE.Brave Bootcamp, scheduled from March 11th to March 22nd, promises an enriching experience for its participants. With approximately six hours of daily training covering essential topics like MVP development, market analysis, financial planning, branding, marketing, and team management, this program is designed to equip women entrepreneurs with the skills needed for success.

Through WE.Brave, Serhiy Tokarev and SET University provide a platform for aspiring female entrepreneurs to gain practical knowledge, access valuable mentorship, and contribute significantly to the growth of the technology sector in Ukraine.
To participate in the bootcamp, the startups must, among others, fulfill the following requirements:
- The company must be at the development stage or higher. Having an MVP or experience in obtaining funding will be an advantage.
- The representatives of the company must have high proficiency in English.
- The team must be committed to developing further the startup after the bootcamp.
