WhatsApp has submitted an update of its latest update, which will allow the app able to create preview reactions. To do so, they first released the updated version of WhatsApp beta Android in order to reach up to 2.22.16.6 and it appears that some users are already receiving these features too who have downloaded the previous 2.22.16.5 version of this new update as well from Google Play Beta Program available for download.
Currently, WhatsApp Messenger is only available to a selected few beta testers. The popular communication app has consistently worked on adding new features to the platform. In this newest update of WhatsApp Messenger Beta, users will find yet another great iteration of the Global messaging app. Find out more information in this article!
WhatsApp’s Reaction Preview feature
You may remember that we’ve known about the React feature for a while now. However, Facebook is steadily improving this function since its introduction and last week Mark Zuckerberg announced they will be adding new emoticons to Message Reactions.
According to the leading Whatsapp news tracker WABetaInfo, another major new feature has been released in this current beta update. For now it is only available for certain selected beta testers who can provide feedback after trying it out.
Recently, the news website leaked a screenshot of an upcoming change to the app. As per reports, this new feature will allow users to preview reactions in every chat they view. You can see an example of how it works in this photo where a user has given their opinion about a conversation topic.
According to reports, this feature is available for both one-on-one conversations and group chats. There does not seem to be a way to turn off the preview of reactions after they have been sent – regardless of whether or not you disable notifications from WhatsApp Settings.
To see if this feature is enabled for your WhatsApp account, try sending a reaction to any message. If the text preview appears in your chat list then it means that the new reaction preview feature is enabled for your account. As mentioned earlier, currently this has been made available only to some selected beta timers – but we’re hoping to roll it out soon!
If you do not have this feature please wait for an update from the company. They will release more updates when they feel they’re ready but it should be coming soon! Keep up with our blog for all upcoming information about new releases and announcements.
