India is now plunging into 5g connectivity. As per the Government, they are finally agree on launching the 5g spectrum In India. This is going to take place on the 26th of July tentatively. This means that India is going to experience 5g speed by the end of this year.
Though it has been reported that a proxy connection of 5g eco-system is going to be launched by August. This is going to be a perfect way to celebrate independence day of 15th August.
India launching 5G, Who is going to provide the network service?
Initially, the auction will be witnessing three service providers, Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Idea (VI), and Reliance Jio. This sale is going to conduct approximately 72GHz of airwaves on the auction. The cabinet ministry has decided to auction this 5g spectrum of connectivity for 20 years.
What will be the bandwidth in 5g connectivity?
This 5g connectivity is going to in these three ways, low, mid and high-frequency bands. The bandwidth of low-frequency bands will be – 600MHz, 700MHz, 800MHz, 900MHz, 1800MHz, 2100MHz and 2300MHz. The mid-frequency range will be around 3300MHz. and the high-frequency bands will be having 26 GHz. All these are left for this auction for 20 years from now on.
What is the telecom department of India is saying?
The telecom department is expecting a high use of both mid and high-frequency bandwidth. Though they did not mention how much the Government is aiming for collection. The telecom department also prevailed on the necessity of connectivity spectrum in case of a 5g eco-system. They also anticipate that this 5g connection is going to enable 10 times better connectivity of the internet compared to today’s 4g technology.
How the auction is going to be inaugurated?
As per DOT, the Department of Technologies, they are expected to publish the ownership of this by 12th July. The list of the final candidates is going to be published by 20th July, live. The authorities said that the providers do not have to pay at once. This can be paid through twenty instalments annually.
The bidders will have an option to surrender as well. These instalments have to be paid by these service providers at the starting of each year. The bidders can only surrender after the payments of ten years though without having any consequences for any future instalments.
