This feature is reported to be an optional way to log in to your WhatsApp account. WhatsApp rolling out Flash Calls feature for automatic verification
You all know that WhatsApp is a very popular Social Media platform that has globally attracted millions of peoples. It is continuously working towards more improvement by bringing new features to the platform. In the recent report of WABetaInfo, the WhatsApp news source has explained about how to use the new feature on Android.
This process will reportedly make your life much easier and the verification process faster for login in your account. Last year the reliable WhatsApp news portal reported about flash calls feature. According to the report this is automated verification method through call to log in your WhatsApp account without entering the 6 digit OTP code.
WhatsApp Flash Call for Verification
The report mentions that in this feature you will get a short call from WhatsApp on your phone number like a miss call. If the last number of your call history matches, the platform will authenticate your account and you can log in automatically.
In the released screenshot of the feature you can see that there will be a new option added. You can enable Flash Calls by choosing the second option ‘Access your phone’s call log’. By choosing this option you allow WhatsApp to access your call history. Notably the company’s missed call notification will always be there in your history.
The number that WhatsApp uses to call you will be different each time so it is a very safe process. The report further confirms that the company won’t use you call log for any other purpose. Neither it will use the call log in other situation.
