WhatsApp is working on notifying unavailable features on linked Devices. This notification will be available to you right within WhatsApp settings. According to the reports, the app developers team is planning to bring a section that will notify users about the features and settings that may not be available to users on their linked devices.
According to the available reports, the Meta-owned company will introduce a new section within the WhatsApp settings. In this section, it will be written ‘Not all features and settings are available on this device’. The leading WhatsApp news source WABetaInfo has also shared a screenshot of this feature where you can see the newly introduced section.
WhatsApp to notify unavailable features on linked devices
Earlier WhatsApp had released the ‘Companion Mode’ feature to some select Android beta testers. This feature enables you to use your existing WhatsApp account on another mobile phone. Interestingly for this, you do not need to keep your primary device connected to the internet. However the Companion mode feature is still in testing, so some features may be missing in the linked devices.
This current beta update brings confirmation about this possibility. As per the reports of the WhatsApp news source, several features that might be missing in the secondary device are viewing the live location in chats and groups, the ability to manage a broadcast list, and the ability to share a new status update.
Some more features may also be missing but there is no confirmed news about what are those. As mentioned earlier WhatsApp is still working on notifying unavailable features on linked Devices. It will be available in a future update of the app when it is finally ready to be released.
However, the Dev team is also planning to work on bringing the missing features to linked devices in the coming days. The company has submitted unavailable features on linked devices updated through the Google Play beta program. With this update, the current version reaches 2.23.1.9.
The company will submit a new update when the new section is visible to beta users. For more updates on all upcoming new features and developments of WhatsApp beta for Android, iOS, Web/Desktop, and windows keep following us.
