WhatsApp is rolling out Privacy and Avatar Settings for beta Android users. In this update, the Instant Messaging platform is reportedly rearranging the entry points of these two features. In fact, the places of privacy entry point and Avatar entry point are being swapped within WhatsApp settings.
Available screenshot shared by a leading WhatsApp news source, you can see that the Meta-owned platform is introducing this change in the settings section as users’ privacy matters much more to the company than setting up an Avatar. In the old interface, the Avatar section was above the privacy section, but now it is placed below.
WhatsApp rearranging Privacy and Avatar Settings
Earlier WABetaInfo released an article on WhatsApp beta for the Android 2.22.22.5 update. In this article, the WhatsApp news source reported about the privacy section. The report mentioned that the Dev team has moved the privacy entry point to the root as it will enable users to get quick access to it.
Last month WhatsApp released this feature to everyone. In this current beta update, the platform is rearranging the entry points of Privacy and Avatar Settings. As per the reports, the platform is currently introducing this new change only to Android users.
It mentions that the Avatar entry point does not separate account and privacy settings on the iOS app. However, at present, this feature has been released only to some select beta testers. So those who have not received it yet will have to wait for a future update.
So, now you will soon be able to see the new entry points for Privacy and Avatar settings in your WhatsApp. The platform has submitted this update through the Google Play beta program and is available in the 2.23.1.5 version of the beta Android app. To get this new feature update your account to the latest version of the app. For more information on all upcoming latest features and developments keep following us.
