WhatsApp is rolling out Skin Tone Reactions feature for beta Android users. The platform has submitted this update through the Google Play Beta Program with this update the current version reaches to 2.22.13.4. According to the reports in this update the platform brings new reactions feature which supports different skin tone emojis.
The platform has been gradually upgrading and improving message reactions feature with time. Few weeks back the feature was made available to users in steps. In this current update the messaging Giant is adding one more specification to the same feature. Check out the details of what’s new this time.
WhatsApp Skin Tone Reactions
In the previous update of message reactions the WhatsApp news tracker reported about WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.12.14 update. In this update the Instant Messaging platform announced the ability to view Detailed Reaction Info for automatic albums. Recently the platform announced ability to edit text messages available in a future update.
Now it is releasing one more minor tweak for reactions feature. In the screenshot released by WA Beta Info you can see that you can react to a message by using skin tone emojis. In the screenshot the folded hands emoji is used for reacting but every time with a different skin tone. The report further mentions that the emoji will be based on the last used skin tone from the list of main emojis.
Like if you have last sent any light skin tone emoji it will automatically appear within the reactions tray next time you want to react. Though this is a very minor additions but gives a very satisfactory visual impact. To use this feature install the latest version of WhatsApp beta for Android from Google Play Store.
Notably those who still don’t see the changes have to wait for next few updates because the platform is rolling it out gradually and at present it is available to only some select beta testers. The report further mentions that the platform plans to make all emojis available for reacting in future.
